CCL Ramgarh Mega Mine Expansion: Rs 1000 Crore Plan to Boost Coking Coal Production
Ramgarh: Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) is planning an expansion of its mining operations in Rajrappa area of the district. The move is aimed at augmenting the PSU’s coking coal production.Bhairvi coal project and mega mine expansion in Damodar river basin in Dhawaiya and Simrabera villages have been planned at an estimated cost of more than Rs 1,000 crore.

“Mega mine expansion plan would be executed in 1,445 acres of land, to excavate 72 million tonnes of coking coal ,” said an official.Rajiv Singh, general manager of Rajrappa area of CCL, said, “CCL has been focused on block-2 mine expansion plan, and displaced villagers would get employment, compensation and rehabilitation facilities as per CIL's rehabilitation and resettlement policy.”
